Beading Cancer Together

  • Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute 302 Kensington Avenue Flint, MI, 48503 United States (map)

A 10-week in-person class. Beading and making jewelry is a fun way to pass time and is great for both your mental and physical well-being. When you or someone you love has cancer, a range of emotions - fear, anger, sadness - may overwhelm you at times. It can be challenging to know how to channel those feelings. Art projects, such as beading, can help you cope with stress and anxiety. Beading is a way to keep your hands busy and your mind at ease. Beading can also help improve memory and fine motor skills.

You don’t have to be an artist to create art. Our focus is on having fun—no artistic experience required. Supplies will be provided.

Classes run from April 29th to July 1st, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
